What to expect

Secure hosted check

Your identity check opens in a specialist hosted environment. ShaBaas Pay only uses the verification outcome for onboarding and compliance review.

Why does ShaBaas Pay need identity verification?

Payment providers must verify merchant identity before enabling payment acceptance and settlement. This protects customers, merchants and the payments network.

Will this affect my credit score?

No. The verification is used to confirm identity and business details. It is not a credit application.

What happens after I finish verification?

Return to this page, confirm completion, and continue onboarding. The final submission will include your verification status with the other onboarding details.

Set up your branded checkout page if you want one now. This entire step is optional and can be completed later.

Launch with the basics

A clean payment page can be prepared with your business name first, then enriched with logo, social links and handle later.

Can I skip this step?

Yes. The custom business page is optional. You can continue without entering a handle, social links or image.

What image should I upload?

Use a square logo or clear brand image under 5 MB. PNG, JPG and WebP files are supported.

Can I change my page details later?

Yes. Your handle, logo and social links can be reviewed and updated after onboarding.

Why do I need to connect a bank account?

Your settlement account tells ShaBaas Pay where successful merchant payments should be paid out.

Can I provide bank details another way?

Yes. Tick the bank document checkbox if you prefer to provide the details through a supporting document.

Can I submit without finishing step 5?

No. Step 5 is required so settlement details are not missed before the onboarding email is prepared.
